Elevator Music was commissioned by saxophonist James McCain in 2004. Opposed to its derogatory use, the title of this work makes reference to the original source of the pitch material used. Much like the title, further explanation of the work (which is most importantly sound masses and musical gestures interacting to produce a cohesive body of art traveling through time) would be gratuitous and silly.
